As
a Grade Four teacher, I intend to use my blog to develop literacy and encourage
discussions among students, especially those who are considered as slow learners. Students will be required to respond to postings made by me
within a given time period. They will be expected to read, discuss and comment on
topics being posted by me and their peers. This will definitely encourage more participation and the
sharing of ideas among students. I will then be able to comment and give students
guidance where necessary.
This is a good idea for utilizing blogs in your classroom. Students will be more motivated to learn.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Nisha. Before I started our Teacher Training Class, I had a conversation with a student and her mother. Her mother expressed how she found it very hard to get her daughter to read a book - the traditional way. Reason being, her love for the computer.
ReplyDeleteI then encouraged her mother to allow her to read educational books online. I said that without having any idea of blogging. Therefore, this tool will be excellent for her. Bravo! This is very exciting guys, I am loving it!
Blogging will definitely help her. It will open her imagination and thirst for more knowledge.
