Reflection
In this Portfolio #6 Piece, I learned how to produce a video using
the software Windows Live Movie Maker. This was created for my Grade 4
student’s Science lesson on types of Flowering and Non-Flowering Plants. After
students would have seen the growth of plants in a previous lesson, this video
will reinforce the concept that plants can grow and develop into flowering and
non-flowering plants. Students will be better able to understand and relate what was learnt in class to what is seen in the video about the
features for flowering and non-flowering plants. In creating this video I encountered the challenge of cutting and setting the music to start at a certain point from the beginning of the video. After a few attempts, I was successful.
This video can be improved by adding another song with the use
of the fade out, fade in technique and the recording of teacher’s voice explaining
to students, the types of flowering and non-flowering plants shown.
